Luke Wilson
(Officer David Delinko) is the multi-faceted talent whose projects have earned him praise from critics and audiences alike and whose versatility as an artist not only includes a diverse gallery of characters in almost three dozen films, but now showcases his accomplishments as a film director.
Wilson made his directorial debut on the romantic comedy "The Wendell Baker Story," in which he also stars opposite brother Owen Wilson, Eva Mendes, Will Ferrell, Eddie Griffin, Harry Dean Stanton, Seymour Cassel and Kris Kristofferson. His oldest brother Andrew Wilson co-directed the film, which recently premiered at Austin's famous SXSW Film Festival and was also screened at the 2005 London Film Festival.
The Dallas native made his acting debut in the critically acclaimed 1993 independent film, "Bottle Rocket," which started out as a 13-minute short (garnering acclaim on the film festival circuit) which he co-wrote with older brother Owen. The feature went to establish the careers of both brothers as well as director Wes Anderson. Following "Bottle Rocket," Wilson went on to appear in various cameo and supporting roles before winning lead roles in Bruce McCulloch's "Dog Park" and in "Home Fries" opposite Drew Barrymore.
Luke re-teamed with Owen and director Anderson for both 1998's "Rushmore," which appeared on many Critic's Top Ten Lists, and, more recently, the Oscar-nominated 2001 satire, "The Royal Tenenbaums," appearing opposite an all-star cast that included Gene Hackman, Anjelica Huston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller and Bill Murray.
In 2003, Wilson co-starred with Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell in the DreamWorks hit comedy "Old School" (MTV Movie Award nomination). Other recent film credits include Rob Reiner's romantic comedy, "Alex & Emma" opposite Kate Hudson, and Sony Classics' "Masked & Anonymous" opposite Bob Dylan, Penelope Cruz, and Jessica Lange.
Earlier roles include the hit comedy, "Blue Streak" alongside Martin Lawrence and "Committed," which also starred Heather Graham and was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. He appeared in the smash hit, "Charlie's Angels," and starred opposite Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde," which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. Wilson went on to reprise his roles for both sequels -- "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde."
Wilson was most recently seen in the ensemble "The Family Stone" co-starring with Claire Danes, Diane Keaton, Dermot Mulroney, Craig T. Nelson and Sarah Jessica Parker. His other upcoming films include Mike Judge's comedy "Idiocracy," "Mini's First Time," in which he stars opposite Alec Baldwin, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jeff Goldblum, and Ivan Reitman's "Super Ex-Girlfriend," also toplining Uma Thurman.
